Tip: Check your internet speed and reduce the load on your connection by limiting the number of devices connected to the Internet. Tip: Update to the latest Lockdown Browser application by opening the application prior to taking the test. Tip: When taking a test that needs LockDown Browser, you must exit your normal browser and only use LockDown Browser. If you forget and try to access the test in your normal browser, you will get an error message. Tip: When on campus, you must log into eduroam wireless networkor Respondus Monitor will not work.
(Note, once a test has started with LockDown Browser, you cannot exit until the Submit button is clicked.)
If the instructor requires a test password, a new window will appear asking for the Exam Password. screen capture, instant messaging) by choosing Yes, or, close LockDown Browser and close the blocked program, then restart. If prompted, either close a blocked program (e.g. (For Mac users, launch “LockDown Browser” from the Applications folder.) Locate the “LockDown Browser” shortcut on the desktop and double-click it. Close all programs (unless one is used to connect you to the Internet). After opening it up, log in to Blackboard as normal. Tip: Once installed, Lockdown Browser functions as a normal browser, just locked down.
